The official title of the Journal (as ISO abbreviation of the journal-title) is "Journal of the Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers." The Journal of IEIE was recognized as the KCI (Korea Citation Index) Excellent Accredited Journal by the National Research Foundation of Korea in 2018 by considering its reputation within the academic community and KCI. The selection was one of the five journals in science and technology fields and the only one in our academic and research areas.

The objective of the Journal of the Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers (called Journal of IEIE) is to provide an international forum for the publication and dissemination of original research results that contribute to the understanding of the fields of electrical, electronics, and computer engineering and science. The scope of the Journal is divided into the following six areas according to the subject:

• Signal processing
• Systems & control
• Industrial electronics
