Abstract |
In order to provide next generation multimedia service, fifth generation mobile communication should be able to accommodate more channel capacity. To do so, it should have higher frequency efficiency than existing 4G mobile communication. Numerous studies have been conducted and are underway. In this paper, SSB(Single Side Band) modulation is applied to existing CP(Cyclic Prefix)-OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiflexing) as a modulation method to achieve higher frequency efficiency. SSB modulation is a method that can increase the frequency efficiency twice, because it transmits/receives using half spectrum using analog modulation method. However, it has a disadvantage that it is not easy to perform high-speed transmission compared with digital communication such as CP-OFDM. We have implemented a system that applies SSB modulation to CP-OFDM and sends different information signals to each of the two half spectra. In addition, we analyzed spectrum OOB(Out of Band) power reduction through various window functions according to different window length by applying Windowing technology. As a result of the simulation, the degree of reduction of the OOB power by SSB-CP-OFDM spectrum, window length, and window function was derived, and the BER performance consistent with the theory was also obtained. |
