Abstract In this paper, we designed and fabricated a low loss Reduced height Waveguide(RHWG) to microstirp transtion of millimeter wave band. RHWG-microstrip transition is composed of RHWG, radial probe and LC matching transmission line. In order to guarantee the performance of the transitions in the millimeter wave band, design and verification were performed considering the errors that may occur in the fabrication of waveguide and microstrip substrates. The size of the transition is 31 × 29 × 12 mm3. The measured insertion loss of under 0.4 ㏈ from a single transition is the millimeter wave band, the return loss was determined to be 15㏈.
