Title Design of Energy Saving Production Scheduler for Heat Treatment Process based on Continuous Lot Input

Abstract This paper proposes a production scheduler considering energy efficiency in the heat treatment industry. The presented production scheduler was designed according to the product quantity required at each job period beforehand as well as TOU(Time Of Use) pricing tariff. The proposed production scheduler can be generated by LOT, considering the continuous input of identical LOT in accordance with both job delay and additional energy consumption, and can be adjusted by rush order to be applied to a variety of real situation such as delivery within the corresponding schedule period. In the proposed model, if the manager inputs the lot information in advance, the energy cost optimal scheduling result is obtained which is suitable for the production quantity by product even in multiple heating furnace environments.
