Abstract |
In this paper, we developed an insert nuts sorting system using a vision inspector with a ring type shift LED that is divided into three parts and operates sequentially. Because we could not distinguish a scar(unevenness) and a stain(texture) with only one top image, we tried to distinguish scars and stains of the insert nut from the image obtained by varying the illumination position on the top of the insert nut. In the case of insert nut, the scars should be selected as defective and the stain should be classified as good. Using the fact that the change of brightness is different according to the position of the lighting, it was possible to distinguish the scars by using the three images obtained for the illumination arranged at intervals of 120 degrees. For the acquired top images, we used the binarization, binary morphology, and XOR(exclusive OR) operation to perform the inspection. As a result, we performed numeric inspection of ±2μm accuracy. This system operated with a performance of 60 ea/min. |
