Abstract |
Being in with strict neuromuscular disorders causes not only mental discomfort but also social troubles likewise the people feel alienated or isolated. In the aims of mitigating these problems, Brain Computer Interfaces (BCIs) based on Electroencephalogram(EEG) is an emerging technology. In EEG measurements, eye-blinking signal has a big effect on the measurement and a strong influence on the analysis of the results. In this paper, we propose the Morse code based blink signal (MBBS) keyboard to resolve the inconveniences of language communication by utilizing blinking signal of EEG. Bluetooth wireless neuro headset detects the blinking signals of EEG and transmits them to the Edison embedded system through Bluetooth interface. To validate the proposed MBBS keyboard, we have selected eight subjects and measured the response of the EEG signals to the stimuli given by the testing scenario. Experimental results confirms and shows that the proposed MBBS keyboard provides a reliable and convenient multi modal interaction in BCIs. |
