Abstract As the IT technologies are rapidly developed, high-capacity data processing, high-speed operation, high integration of internal circuits, and miniaturization are increasingly required for electronic devices. As a result, electromagnetic shielding and heat dissipation of devices are becoming an issue. In this paper, we propose a method which can laminate the copper mesh sheet which is widely used as electromagnetic-shielding material and the natural graphite sheet used as heat-dissipating material only using pressure without pressure sensitive adhesive(PSA), and the composite sheet having both electromagnetic-shielding and heat-dissipating functions. The primary pressure is applied to the copper mesh before laminating the copper mesh and the graphite sheet to planarize the circular mesh wire, and to increase the wire surface roughness. After that, the copper sheet and the graphite sheet are pressed together. Using the proposed method, three kinds of composite sheets composed of copper mesh and graphite, graphite between two copper mesh, and copper mesh between two graphite sheets were fabricated. In the electromagnetic shielding performance test according to the ASTM D4935 standard, all three types exhibited a performance of 70dB or more in the shielding effectiveness(SE) and showed an exothermic reduction effect of 10℃ or more, and no peeling phenomenon between the sheets was observed during physical and environmental peeling experiments.
