Abstract The current centralized energy system structure is changing to a distributed structure based on ICT technology and energy trade. Efficient management and operation of various distributed power sources requires an operational plan based on reliable demand forecasting. In this paper, we propose a load prediction correction algorithm using the cumulative load prediction error and exponential moving average method. The proposed algorithm can be expected to improve performance in the environment with frequent load fluctuations by reflecting the recent load prediction error value first. Using the measured load, distributed resource scheduling was performed for each season according to the load prediction error, and the energy cost was reduced improvement due to the error correction.
