| Abstract |
This paper presents a mathematical model for IEEE 802.11 MAC DCF backoff misbehavior that can analyze the effect of it. on wireless LAN system. We analyze the effect of backoff misbehavior on WLAN and node through proposed model. Experiment shows that the backoff misbehavior node increases the collision probability of standard nodes. The backoff misbehavior node occupies more channel resources than standard node. It looks like that there are more nodes than the actual system. And backoff misbehavior node causes channel estimation error to standard node. The proposed model and analysis will contribute to the study of WLAN DCF. |
