Abstract |
The phased array antenna system steers and forms beams using phase shift values ??weighted to each of the arrayed radiating elements. In order to steer and form the accurate beam, each radiating element must be weighted with an accurate phase shift value. However, the phase error is generated by the transmission line and the active / passive elements configured for each radiating element. This phase error directly affects the performance of the phased array antenna. In this paper, a phase error estimation method of each radiating element is proposed. The proposed method can simplify the measurement procedure for radiation characteristics and it is verified through the problem of estimating arbitrary phase error combinations according to the number of antenna arrays. |
