Abstract |
Wireless-based data transmission solutions, which are more competitive in installation and maintenance costs in recent industrial fields, are being applied. In the industrial field, however, it was not possible to find an optimal wireless solution that was inexpensive and reliable, so it was using Wi-Fi requiring high-end HW or licensed band communication that paid license fee instead. To solve this problem, we proposed and developed a channel hopping method based on international standards based on time synchronization based on a lightweight operating system including IPv6 that can be mounted on a lightweight device. After testing with more than 400 devices in a simulated industrial environment, it is verified that the proposed algorithm can support more than 5 hops and achieve more than 96% data transmission success rate. Furthermore, the device platform we developed has been applied to the AMI industry and commercialized. |
