Abstract |
This paper presents the design of a linear LED driver IC that includes a heat dispersion function and a function to reduce the current when the temperature increases so that LED does not turn off due to overheating in the automotive environment. The designed IC controls LED brightness with PWM and embedded a slew rate control function to suppress EMI that may occur when LED driving current is switching. The designed LED driver IC consists of a constant current generation circuit, temperature control circuit, and LED driving circuit. The designed IC is fabricated under 0.18um BCD process and the heat dissipation is improved by more than 13℃ according to the heat dispersion circuit. |
