Abstract |
Today's automotive wireless communication systems play an important role in the intelligent transportation systems industry, providing driver safety and application services. For stable information exchange in a vehicle environment, a high performance channel estimation technique is needed to accurately estimate the rapidly changing channel according to high speed movement. Various channel estimation techniques have been proposed so far, but due to the expensive communication equipment and realistic constraints, the performance analysis of the channel estimation technique has been conducted mainly through computer simulation. In this research paper, we conducted field trial with self-developed IEEE802.11p transmitter/receiver testbed was mounted on vehicle in various driving environments and analyzed the result. Testbed developed in this study was implemented on software defined radio equipment, unlike the existing field trial study, so it was easy to implement and compare various receiver algorithm. Through the result of this study, we were able to collect real environment performance data of various IEEE802.11p channel estimation techniques proposed in existing literature and observe that the STA scheme shows the best performance in various driving environments compared to other schemes. |
