Abstract |
This paper presents the design of an analog front-end circuits for high-precision voltage measurement of battery cells for optimization of electric vehicle battery performance and real-time condition diagnosis. The circuit consists of a high voltage multiplexer, a level shifter, a delta-sigma modulator, a bandgap reference voltage generator improving linearity, and ADC reference voltage generator. The circuit is designed by 40V 0.18um BCD process and 0.18um CMOS process and fabricated with MCP. The bandgap voltage reference circuit compensates the VBE of the BJT which improves linearity of less than 300uV. As the results, The chip shows voltage measurement accuracy less than 460uV in the temperature range of -20℃ to 60℃ and battery cell voltage range of 1.5V to 4.3V. |
