Abstract |
In this paper, we propose the beam selection scheme for interference cancellation in beamspace multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO). Specifically, the proposed beam selection scheme consists of offline fingerprint database construction and online beam selection for interference cancellation. In the offline phase, we group the contributing users that have same best beam. After grouping, we build the fingerprint database for each group. In the online phase, the beam selection for interference cancellation is performed using the information in the group-based fingerprint database. Simulation results verify that the proposed beam selection scheme can achieve the sum-rate performance close to the fully digital system with much higher energy efficiency. |
