Abstract |
In this paper, we propose a beam selection with joint transmission for millimeter-wave (mmWave) aerial vehicles based on 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP). Specifically, the proposed scheme consists of offline fingerprint database construction and online beam selection with joint transmission (JT). In the offline phase, the optimal beam of serving cell and interference beams of neighboring cells are stored. In the online phase, the optimal beam and interference beams are determined using the fingerprint database. In addition, the intra-JT is performed to mitigate interference for aerial vehicles. The system level simulation is based on the 3GPP new radio mmWave and aerial vehicles model. The simulation results reveal that the proposed beam selection with JT can reduce the beam sweeping overhead and inter-cell interference. |
