Abstract |
By utilizing the non-Foster theory for reconfigurable negative inductance circuit (RNIC) design, a double-tuned frequency band of voltage control oscillator (VCO) is proposed in this paper. From the analysis between negative group delay network (NGD) and resistance of a finite unload Q negative inductors, the negative impedance of inductance circuit is determined. Furthermore, to switch oscillation frequency band, bias voltage of HJ FET in the middle of two NGD unit cells is adjusted to tune negative inductance value of RNIC, while it is placed in series with conventional LC tank resonator at the feedback loop of VCO. The simulated dual frequency ranges are from 1.567 to 2.169GHz, and from 2.022 to 2.797GHz when negative inductance are -5.45nH and -6.31nH, respectively. |
