Abstract This paper proposed 16-QAM interface LVDS transmitter using a PWM pre-emphasis circuit and shared transmission lines. Recently, the demands for high-speed IoT application and devices are increased. The high-speed IoT application and devices require high bandwidth for data communication. Thus, the high-speed transmission circuit will be a key part of IoT applications. This paper presents a new transmitter reducing power consumption based on the push-pull current mode LVDS circuit. Two differential output drivers sharing three transmission line make to increase the bit per transmission line. The jitter at high frequency is effectively reduced by adjusting the clock duty cycle of the PWM pre-emphasis circuit according to the input bit. As a result, the proposed circuit for high-speed interface consumes the power about 19mW at maximum speed 20Gbps sharing three transmission lines.
