Abstract In this paper, we consider the robust finite-time H∞ state feedback controller design method for discrete-time singular systems with parameter uncertainties and actuator saturation. Firstly, a new sufficient condition satisfying regular, causal, FSS(finite-time singular stability) and finite-time singular H∞ boundedness(FSHB) is proposed by equivalently transformed closed-loop system. Secondly, a finite-time H∞ state feedback controller design method is proposed such that the resulting closed-loop system is regular, causal, FSS, and FSHB on the basis of the obtained new condition and equivalent properties of the considering system. Also, it is shown that the desgin method can be extended into the problem of robust finite-time H∞ state feedback controller design method of discrete-time uncertain singular systems with actuator saturation. The presented controller design methods are strict LMI(linear matrix inequality) forms in terms of all finding variables and hence can be easily used for controller synthesis. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the validity of the proposed method.
