Abstract |
This paper considers a turbo-coded transmission method that links the underwater acoustic communication link and the terrestrial RF communication link through the sea surface buoy multiple relays in an environment where direct communication between the underwater sensor and the base station is difficult. Maximal ratio combining, equal-gain combining, and selective combining is considered as signal combining methods, and a simulation is used to compare the BER (bit error rate) performance of turbo codes according to signal combining methods. In addition, it was confirmed that the BER graphs in the Rayleigh fading channel approach to the graph of the AWGN channel as increasing the number of relays in the maximal ratio combining. |
