Abstract In this paper, a mixed-coupling resonator is applied to the 4th BPF circuit design through a simplified mixed-coupling equivalent model. The proposed simplified equivalent modeling analyzed the influence of each series-parallel component by separating it into series-parallel components including the internal coupling coefficient and resonator characteristics. This was applied to the design of a 5G Sub-6GHz BPF with a 4th chebyshev prototype, and it was possible to design a filter with high frequency selectivity for each type of passband upper and lower frequencies. In addition, the insertion loss measured at the center frequency of the passband was able to bring about 1.2 dB and 0.8 dB of low loss characteristics for each type, respectively, compared to the 4th parallel coupled line BPF, and a size reduction of 76% was achieved.
