Abstract Recently, people's interest in the impact of environmental pollution on their lives is rapidly increasing. In addition, there is a need for a simple water pollution detection scheme. In this paper, we propose a water pollution detection technique that can be easily implemented at low cost. The proposed system is designed to identify pollution by collecting measurement data according to the level of water pollution by using the OP AMP comparator circuit. Also, we implemented a detection system using a PCB capture program. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed water pollution detection system, the experiment was conducted by measuring the voltage of the comparator by setting low and high pollution levels. In addition, the experimental samples are divided into three types according to the degree of contamination, and the performance of the proposed water pollution detection system and the existing device group is compared and analyzed. Experimental and performance analysis results show that the proposed detection system operates correctly and accurately.
