| Abstract |
We propose an adaptive high-gain observer based on switching logic for nonlinear systems with triangular structures. The adaptive gain of the proposed observer is adjusted by the update rule so that its value is piecewise constant. This rule is based on the switching logic that uses estimation error to monotonically increase an adaptive gain. Using the switching control theory, we prove the asymptotic stability of the estimation error and the boundedness of the adaptive gain. Finally, we demonstrate the validity of the proposed observer design method through a simulation example. |
