Abstract |
In this paper, we propose a general formula that yields the posterior probability of the transmission bits required to perform LDPC decoding in the representative Index Modulation systems MM-OFDM-IM and OFDM-IM in the same process. The proposed general formula considers the active subcarriers and inactive subcarriers of OFDM-IM as mode.1 and mode.0 that transmit different data symbols of MM-OFDM-IM to obtain the posterior probability of the transmission bit in the same process as MM-OFDM-IM. Using the proposed general formula, the posterior probability of the resource selection bits and the data bits can be calculated in the same process. Simulation results show that the proposed general formula is an efficient method with the same bit error rate while having lower complexity than the previously presented formula. |
