Abstract |
Recently, drone communication using wireless LAN has been studied in a disaster environments requiring long-distance communication, but mostly only physical improvement studies such as link budgets are being conducted. However, since there are parameters affected by distance in the medium access control (MAC) layer of the WLAN, it is necessary to improve these parameters in order to perform long-distance communication perfectly. In this paper, we improve the WLAN MAC protocol according to the long-distance environment in a drone-based disaster communication network that performs disaster missions and performs a performance analysis. For this, a network is configured using a packet-level simulator, and a MAC protocol suitable for a long-distance environment is designed. In addition, by deploying several drones, various performance indicators are presented as a result. |
