Abstract In this paper, we suggest a production scheduler of dyeing industry considering energy reduction. The dyeing process has a general feature which previously decides processing sequence and dyeing machine according to customer order requirements, textile type and it’s weight. Moreover, it is required that different customer orders should be assigned to multiple dyeing machine in a row. However, to our knowledge, an ineffective production schedule has used to be made by assigning tasks to processing sequence and dyeing machine based on operator’s experience and knowledge in real production floor. Henceforth, an effective production scheduler of dyeing process to accomplish the reduction of both processing time and energy consumption. Consequently, the production scheduler model of dyeing process, which optimizes an energy reduction by effectively assigning tasks to parallel dyeing machine, was derived, and it’s performance was validated through simulation.
