Abstract |
This paper focuses on the development of optimized temperature and pressure sensors for automotive HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems. By third-order equation calibration method, (3rd order compensation) in place of the existing second-order equation, (2nd order compensation) we improved accuracy from 1% to 0.6% within the temperature range of -40°C to +150°C. Additionally, we implemented a system to provide enhanced safety information to the Main Control Unit for temperature and pressure, surpassing traditional analog methods. Furthermore, by utilizing the LIN 2.2 (Local Interconnect Network) protocol, we efficiently transmitted temperature, pressure, and diagnostic signals over a single wire, simplifying complex system structures, reducing wiring and sensor weight, leading to cost savings, and lowering vehicle weight. As a result, this developed sensor offers 0.6% accuracy under all automotive temperature conditions, contributing to enhanced vehicle safety. |
