Abstract |
Information and communication technologies in the 4th industrial era are being usefully utilized in the agricultural field. In particular, in order to implement a smart farm and grow high-quality crops, it is essential to measure the NPK value of the soil .Nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) are the main nutrients in soil, and depending on their values, the soil becomes high quality. For high-quality soils, fertilizers are used to properly adjust the NPK value. In order to create an appropriate ratio of soil and fertilizer, NPK measurement analysis is a prerequisite. In general, NPK measurement analysis uses reagents in direct contact with the soil or a measuring instrument that is used by directly piercing the soil. This paper measures and analyzes the NPK value of soil using the reflected wavelength of color detection in a non-contact manner. The method of measuring the value of NPK is that nitrogen [N] is blue and the wavelength standard is 430 to 490 (nm), phosphorus [P] is green and the wavelength standard is 495 to 580 (nm), and potassium [K] is red and the wavelength is The standard used was 600∼700 (nm). In this paper, we created a system using color detection and obtained NPK measurement data from three soil samples. In particular, the non-contact method can be used to develop accurate fertilizer application technology to control the NPK ratio of the soil. In the future, soil nutrient management smart farms can be implemented in all agricultural fields to contribute to improving the high quality and productivity of crops. |
