Abstract |
During the summer or winter seasons, electricity consumption significantly increases, which can lead to a rise in electrical fires. Reports have shown that aging electrical wires with damaged insulation can expose the conductive metal, leading to fires. However, there is a lack of development in devices that can prevent such fires. This paper designs a circuit to prevent potential fires that may occur when the insulation of electrical wires deteriorates or gets damaged, exposing the metal to the environment. The circuit detects changes in voltage and frequency when the temperature rises, allowing the prevention system to activate by recognizing fire-signature frequencies. The normal frequency range is from 0 to 60 Hz, and the boundary frequency range is from 60 to 100 Hz. The high-frequency band includes 100 to 120 Hz. This frequency range is associated with arc (spark) and a melting state. Thus, fires occur if the frequency exceeds 120 Hz. |
