Abstract This paper presents the development of a daily tongue imaging and health monitoring device for use in Oriental medicine, highlighting the importance of identifying the tongue's shape, color, and coating for accurate diagnosis. The device allows individuals to monitor their health and transmit images to a hospital system for detailed tracking over time. The study focuses on optimizing color accuracy through color correction and adjustments using a ColorChecker. To address issues such as overfitting, measurement errors, and color imbalance, the author proposes selecting optimal color patches from the 24 available ones. The calculated average values are transformed using a transformation matrix to align with reference standards, reducing the number of required color patches. This approach minimizes the device's cost and size while enhancing its usability in environments such as homes or gyms.
