Abstract |
In this paper, we analyze the current status and limitations of autonomous driving data construction in domestic and abroad. Domestically, it describes the status of autonomous driving data construction by institutions and companies such as the Korea Transport Institute, Seongnam city, KAIST and KT/Hyundai Developers/SK, etc., and overseas, it describes the status of autonomous driving data construction by institutions and companies such as UC Berkeley/Motional/Google WAYMO and Uber/Scania, etc. Institutions and companies that have been building autonomous driving data have focused on independently storing/managing autonomous driving data for each institution for the purposes of providing autonomous driving open data sets/developing autonomous driving SW technology/manufacturing vehicles and operating mobility services. However, autonomous driving data independently constructed by each organization should be equipped with functions that can be linked and shared in the future, and functions that allow users to search and utilize autonomous driving dataset they need for different purposes should be provided comprehensively. An open source platform for linking public data from each country, such as CKAN, can be a best practice for linking/searching/managing domestic and international autonomous driving data in the future. |
