| Abstract |
Transmission technology for underwater mobile communication must be able to provide multimedia services in the fields of underwater exploration and marine pollution monitoring. OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) and SC-FDMA (Single Carrier Frequency Division Multiple Access) can be applied as transmission technologies suitable for underwater mobile communication. OFDM has the disadvantage that PAPR(Peak to Average Power Ratio) occurs and a linear amplifier must be used. The proposed method to solve the PARR problem without using a linear amplifier is SC-FDMA. In this paper, we analyze the performance of SC-FDMA under symbol timing error environment in underwater acoustic channel. As a result of the analysis, it can be seen that the performance degradation due to the delay of the underwater acoustic multipath can be prevented by keeping the frame start time error below 256 samples. |
