Abstract This paper proposes a high linearity and low noise receiver front end for 2.4 GHz Bluetooth and IoT applications operating at a 1.2 V supply voltage with a power consumption of 9.2 mW. The proposed circuit integrates a noise-canceling LNA and an active Gilbert-cell mixer into a single block. In addition, an interstage peaking inductor is employed to compensate for parasitic capacitances within the circuit, thereby improving both bandwidth and gain characteristics. Furthermore, an auxiliary amplifier is introduced to enhance linearity and overall performance. Post-layout simulation results demonstrate a noise figure of 5.36 dB, a conversion gain of 17.2 dB, a P1dB of -16.02 dBm, an IIP3 of -3.8 dBm, and an outstanding IIP2 of 42.2 dBm. The proposed receiver front-end occupies a compact core area of 0.223 mm² excluding pads.
