Aims & Scope

The objective of the Journal of the Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers (Journal of IEIE) is to provide an international forum for the publication and dissemination of original works that contribute to the understanding of the fields of electrical, electronics, and computer engineering and science. The journal is divided into the following six areas according to the subject: telecommunication, semiconductor & device, computer & information, signal processing, systems & control, and industrial electronics. The Journal of IEIE was recognized as the KCI Excellent Accredited Journal by the National Research Foundation of Korea in 2018 by considering its reputation within the academic community and KCI citation index. The selection was one of the five journals in science and technology fields and the only one in the electronics and information field. The official title of the Journal (as ISO abbreviation of the journal-title) is “Journal of The Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers.”

Policies and ethics for publication are listed below. The topics for the policies and publication ethics include authorship, peer-review process, submitting original papers and plagiarism, archiving, copyright, fees, open access, duplicate publication, competing interests, publication malpractice, and conflicts of interest. All authors should be aware of and comply with the policies and ethics in publishing articles in the Journal of IEIE.

Year of launching (history)

This journal was founded as “Proceedings of the Institute of Electronics Engineers of Korea" on Oct. 25, 1963, and along with technical commentary and papers were published at that time. Since 1974, "Proceedings" for a research paper and "Magazines" for technical commentary had been published in separation. In 1986, The proceedings has changed its name to IEIE PAPER(Journal of The Institute of Electronics and Information Engineers) and been published to date.

Content and Publication Type

It accepts original papers of research articles, short communications, reviews, editorial, opinion, book reviews, teaching tips, and other invited papers on the undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education in the filed of Telecommunications, Semiconductor & Device, Computer & Information, Signal Processing, System & Control, Industrial Electronics. Letter to editor is always welcomed on the published articles.

Fee for Page Charge

IEIE charges the processing fee 40,000 KRW and 100,000 KRW for regular and express papers, respectively. The publication charges are following:
