Abstract It is the prison and justice building what is the core typical facility for control and surveilance. Foucault had speculated geneologically what has changed the power and control and what has made the change of the facilities of special constraints. Discussing Postmodern urban and architectural phenomenon, he has emphasized the heterotopian vision. It has its own important meaning in the urban structures. Speculating the phenomenon of postmodernity, it is essential part how cultural industry structure has changed the built environment and how they has made the change to society to understand the architectural space and urban space. Living the modern society, we can grasp vague feeling that there is still hidden dynamics that moves the society and the movement seems to be more and more sophisticated to be evolved. The objective of this study is to speculate the social and cultural change that how the prison and constraints facilities has been restructured through the change of particulars after Modern period. More detailed part, this study focuses on and judge how surveilance and control system relates with the commercialized society, how it is evolving in the digitalized period, and how true community space should be.
