Abstract This study has been given careful consideration to an induction of the mixed-use districts for the efficiency of Land Use, the rational plot planning and the mixture/complex among the functions in order to complement the zoning plan with the primary purpose to purify the usage of landscape. Furthermore, it is aimed to indicate the implementations through the medium of the in-depth analysis about the cardinal factors such as the standards on the regional location in the case of designating the Mixed-use districts. The results of the analyses by the purpose and method of this study are as followings. The standard of location-allocation has been deduced by analysing both the distribution ratios classified by the zoning/location and by researching on the zoning areas including the Seoul Metropolis, 25 boroughs and 53 surrounding areas of subway station centered around the districts in the Seoul Metropolis. As a result of the analysis to figure out that it shows up the mixed industrial zone, the semi-residential zone and the third general residential zone in order of sequence and around 22.9 percentage of the total areas are interpreted to the designation of the "Mixed-Use Districts" as shown up the result from the analyzing to link up with the actual condition of the zoning in Seoul.
