Abstract |
The objective of this study is to evaluate seismic performance of the moment frames with Reduced Beam Section with Bolted web connections (RBS-B). For this purpose, three, nine, and twenty-story frames were considered. Nonlinear static pushover analysis, nonlinear time history analysis, and incremental dynamic analysis are conducted for this purpose. According to FEMA 350, confidence level of the frame was evaluated for the two performance objectives, IO and CP against the hazard level of 50% and 2% in 50 years. The seismic performance was evaluated in accordance with procedure specified in FEMA 350 while seismic performance is estimated in terms of confidence level. |
