Abstract The purpose of this study is to investigate the strength and mechanical properties of soil concrete using liquefied red mud slurry, which is an industrial byproduct that is also used as a coloring material. As a result, the compressive strength and tensile strength of soil concrete with liquefied red mud decreased, but its elastic modulus increased compared to ordinary concrete. Compared with the internal replacement method in which the unit cement amount is decreased, the reduction of compressive strength and tensile strength is respectively decreased with the external addition method in which the unit cement amount is fixed.
