Abstract This paper presents the results of an experimental and numerical investigation involving four specimens subjected to static loads aimed at preventing thermal bridging in multi-residential buildings. The thermal bridge prevention system called UHPC rib is connected to both the slab and the wall. The study includes two flexural specimens and two shear specimens, all subjected to one-way loads from the actuator. In addition, a finite element (FE) model was employed for the numerical modeling of all specimens examined in the experimental program. To validate the experimental results obtained from real tests, LS-DYNA, a FEM analysis program, was used. The experimental and numerical results were found to be in good agreement, affirming the efficacy of the FE model in simulating the behavior of components in the systems.
