Abstract |
This investigation was carried out to study on the effects of decolorization and COD removal from aqueous dyes solutions by ozonization. Then, the efficiency was studied by the change of voltage, pH and flow rate. The experimental results are summarized as follows : 1. The equilibrium concentration of the dissolved ozone is achieved within fifteen minutes, and the self-decomposition rate of ozone is the highest in alkaline solution. 2. The effects of COD removal and decolorization were good in proper conditions alkali region, high voltage, reasonable value between voltage and flow rate. 3. The effects of decolorization and COD removal were distributed from l5 percentage to l00 percentage, from 25 percentage to 84 percentage, respectively. 4. The correlation between decolouring efficiency and COD removal efficiency were low for pH and flow rate, and high for voltage. 5. The proper operation condition of ozonizer in these dyes solutions were not alkali region, the flow rate of 10ℓ/min, and the 60(×60) voltage. |
