Abstract |
The feeding rate of coagulant in the water treatment plant can be estimated by the jar-test in Laboratory. However the quality of the tested water is not equivalent to that of the chemical feeded water because the time gap is laid between jar-test and feeding rate control, it takes about half and hour, and the jar-test is proceeded periodically and not continuous. Another word, the result of jar-test does not accurately fit to the quality of raw water flowing into the feeding basin right at the time. Thus, we should make a formular of the feeding rate in accordance with the quality of the raw water of individual treatment plant. The parameters affected to the chemical feeding rate are pH, alkalinity, turbidity, and temperature of the raw water. We can get the feeding rate P for Han river raw water by measuring these parameters and the empirical formular is as follow. P=(3.14-0.04 t)·A^(0.21)·T^(0.36) As we draw up the equation in program at the chemical feeding control computer, we can timely feed more proper chemical to get better quality in waterworks. |
