Title Applicability of Dewatered Sewage Sludge as Landfill Cover Material or Soil Conditioner

Abstract Applicability of lime stabilized sludge as a landfill cover material or soil conditioner was discussed. Optimum quick lime dosage was about 60% of total solid(dry base) for landfill cover material and about 80%(dry basis) for soil conditioner. The lime stabilized sludge reduced MPN of Colifom to 99.99% and was classified as SP-SM or SW-SM with a permeability of 0.32 to 5.8×10E-4 ㎝/sec. EP toxicity test was conducted on allowable heavy metal concentrations.
