Title A Study on the Municipal Wastewater Treatment by Alkaline Coagulation

Abstract The possibility of Hakic cheon municipal wastewater treatment by utilizing the alkali waste slurry from Oriental chemical company as a coagulant was investigated. Coagulants as the Lime, Alum, Ferric Chloride and waste slurry were tested in jar tester. The experimental results showed that the waste slurry could be used as a coagulant instead of lime. When the combined dose of waste slurry 5∼7.5% and ferric chloride 25㎎/ℓ obtained the optimum coagulation condition, and the analytical results showed that turbidity removal was 97%, T-P removal was 70% and COD_(Mn) removal was 30∼42%.
