Abstract |
This study was carried out to find an operating condition of membrane filtration system for wastewater treatment using submerged flat sheet membrane. Our study was divided lo two different operating conditions(Mode-Ⅰ and Mode-Ⅱ). And also, the batch test was carried out according to commercial membrane manufactures. It was investigated that the transmembrane pressure(TMP) was stabilized when the permeate flux was maintained with 15L/㎡/hr, and the suction pump was intermittently operated to the suction for 15min and the idle for Smin in the range of Operating conditions. Average removal efficiency of BOD and SS during the testing period were 96.6 and 99.3%. BOD and SS concentration of permeate were definitely reduced but COD. concentration was a little reduced because of having an effect on dissolved nondegradable pollutant. As a result of experiment, It was concluded that Ihe stabilization of membrane filtration resistance depended on the idle time than the suction time in the same permeate flux. |
