Abstract |
Environmental pollution caused by population increase and industrial development influences river ecosystem. In order to conserve the water quality of the Tamjin river, it is necessary to estimate the BOD reduction rate. The BOD concentration is estimated by QUAL2E model applying in the target year 2007. The study basin of the Tamjin river is divided into 52 elements of 5 reaches. A target reduction rate of the BOD pollutant load which is satisfied mth target water quality in 2007 is predicted. A formula for calculating water quality management using regression analysis based on the various BOD reduction rates of the target basin is suggested. |
