Abstract |
The flow injection analysis(FIA) of a ammonia has been studied by fluorogenic derivatization with naphthalene-2,3-dicarboxaldehyde(NDA) in the presence of sulfite ion. The mixing and reaction coil length, sulfite concentration, reaction pH and temperature were optimized for NDA/sulfite derivatization of ammonia by using flow injection analysis. The excitation and emission wavelengths for fluorometric detection were 350 and 497㎚, respectively. The detection limit was 20㎍/L, which was obtained by twice of peak-to-peak noise level, and the repeatability was better than 1% at the 10-300ng level. Application of the use of the method was given for the analysis of ammonia nitrogen in Jeonju stream passing through Jeonju city. |
