The subject was 126 workers who worked of smallscale factories of less than 50 employees. The questionnaire and interview survey was conducted between July 11 and August 4, 2002. The result shown that 95.2% of workers used analgesics and the most reason of taking analgesics was headache (69%). 15.9% of workers took more than 4 tablets of analgesics a day and 4.8% of workers took over 10 tablets a month. There was a significant negative correlation between ‘Knowing of analgesics dose’ and ‘Maximum dose in a day’ (r=-.180, p<.05). The mean psycho-social stress score was 2.26±0.41 and it was significant positive correlation with ‘Maximum dose in a day’ (r=.262, p<.01) and ‘Dose in last month’ (r=.212, p<.05). In conclusion, the increase of stress associate with increased taking analgesics of workers exposed to organic solvents, and so need preventive program for drug abuse and stress.
