| Abstract |
Air conditioning systems are indispensable for IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) in modern buildings. Therefore air conditioning systems play a main role in improving indoor air quality. In order to improve IAQ in occupying space, ventilation system is used to secure a required fresh air intake rate in most of buildings. However the outdoor air pollution is gradually increasing by the automobiles in urban area. Indoor air environment would be contaminated by the air intake from the outside of the building in urban area. So it is necessary to study the quality of outdoor air to design a ventilation system and keep a good air environment in occupying zone. In this study, outdoor air pollution and traffic condition were measured and analyzed in three urban area and the distribution of outdoor air contaminants concentrations was studied as the change of height from the ground level to propose the basic data in three buildings in Seoul. |
