Abstract This paper purposes to measure and analyse the geomagnetic flux density in a reinforced-concrete building and on the ground with a flux-gate equipment. Also this provides fundamental information and data relating to the geomagnetic flux density in reinforced-concrete building. The major conclusions that drawn from this study are as follows: The mean geomagnetic flux density of a RC campus building is 44,373 nT, minimum is 25,813 nT and maximum is 66,038 nT. And the variation of geomagnetic flux density is relatively large. But the average geomagnetic flux density of a vacant ground is 49,320 nT. The range of distribution difference among geomagnetic flux value is lower than about 1,000 nT and show the state stable condition.
