| Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to provide basic data that will be useful to develop the universal design guidelines for the aged kitchen in Korea. The tangible benefits of universal design kitchen are very important. Maintaining some reasonable degree of self-care can help experience a reduction in anxiety knowing that some of the hazards of independent home life. Hence, it is necessary to research universal design kitchen that may contribute to the quality of the aged living. We conclude that universal designed kitchen is closely connected to the independence and wellbeing of the aged. Accordingly, kitchen for the Korean aged should be considered to their physical characteristics. We suggest that future studies investigate the kitchen guideline for the aged in Korea. |
